: I wouldn't say they're /obsolete/, just kind of colloquial and either imprecise or overly broad (in the same way a CivCTF map is referred to as CivDM by most people.) I kind of just made up terms for the article because there isn't really an overarching/consistent way to refer to class gamemodes. I tried at least to be adjacent to the recent decision between us and Moon to adopt CDM. But yeah I think it should be more clear how the term has evolved and its relation to everything else.
