The Bat is the default melee weapon of the Scout. It's an aluminum baseball bat with a slight dent near the top side, a rubber tape grip and a faded label.

Even though this Baseball Bat is made of solid aluminum, it won't do as much damage as any other generic stock melee. On hit the Bat does 35 points of damage and a critical hit can do 105 points of damage, but what it lacks in damage it makes up for in swing speed. The bat has a 37.5% faster swing speed than a stock melee which, this allows the user to land multiple strikes on an opponent in a short period of time. It's important to remember that like any other stock melee it's best used as a last resort option.
